Laughter Queens member Anat says this is one of the most fun volunteer gigs, ever. Join our volunteer crew for a done-in-a-day experience where what you do will make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children and their families. Be part of this very special event to boost literacy and promote a love of reading among our youth. Book-a-Mania is a free, annual celebration of celebrity authors, books and book-related crafts for kids ages 3 to 10 and their parents. Last year superstar children's author Mo Willems was on hand for Book-a-mania and more than 5,000 attended! This event is held at the stunningly beautiful and architecturally intriguing Harold Washington Library Center and is underwritten by Target.
