FREE 3-day Leimert Park Village African Art & Music Festival - Labor Day Weekend


Jazz icon, Randy Crawford, will headline the 2nd Annual FREE Leimert Park Village African Art & Music Festival, scheduled for Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Sept. 4th, 5th & 6th in Historic Leimert Park Village from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm daily. Other confirmed performers include legendary saxophonist Azar Lawrence, reggae artist Wadada, hip hop phenom Medusa and popular blues singer and guitarist Wali Ali. Jazz drummer Kumasi Washington and The James Leary quintet are also set to perform. A special Tribute to Motown, in celebration of their 50th Anniversary, will be performed by R&B group Nostalgia, featuring Torre Reese from the doo wop group Renaissance. The festivals’ juried Art Market will feature renowned fine artist Charles Bibbs, emerging fine artist Sylvia Rundles of G-Baby, and more than 50 well-known fine artists and craftspeople from Southern California.
